I discovered this from a book called Body For Life which had 100's of examples of people losing so much weight and the HIIT workout was only 20 minutes long. I was working out for way longer than this and not achieving these results.
It measured the intensity of your activity on a scale of 1 to 10. Level 1 is when you are lying down doing nothing and level 10 is when you are going flat out. It started out genetly and then minute by minute increased intensity. Once reaching a level 9 intensity, it would then drop back down to a level 6 recovery minute. Then repeat.

It was founded by Japanese scientist Izumi Tabata. This is a superb 4 minute routine which I have used as a warm up for many years. Whether its a 4 minute Tabata abs workout or a 4 minute weights session, it always does the job.
