At some point after 50, many men begin asking questions they never expected to ask.
Not necessarily out loud.
Often quietly.
Sometimes in the middle of the night.
Questions like:
Why am I so tired all the time?
Why am I gaining weight around my middle when my diet hasn't changed?
Why do I wake up at 3am and struggle to get back to sleep?
Why do I feel less motivated than I used to?
Why do I sometimes feel lost, even though I have achieved many of the things I once worked so hard for?
The truth is that life after 50 can be confusing.
Our bodies change.
Our priorities change.
Our relationships change.
Children grow up.
Parents grow older.
Retirement moves from being a distant idea to something that feels increasingly real.

For some men, confidence begins to wobble.
For others, purpose becomes a bigger question than success.
Yet despite all these changes, many men continue doing what they have always done.
They keep going.
They carry on.
They deal with things quietly.
The problem is that carrying questions without answers often creates unnecessary worry.
We begin imagining worst-case scenarios.
We assume we are the only person experiencing what we are experiencing.
We convince ourselves that something must be wrong.
In reality, many of the questions we ask after 50 are surprisingly common.
That realisation was one of the reasons I wrote 1000 Why's for Men Over 50.
I wanted to create a practical, reassuring guide that addressed the questions many men ask but rarely discuss.
Inside the book are 1,000 questions covering topics such as health, fitness, sleep, ageing, relationships, retirement, confidence, purpose and life after 50.
Not because I believe a book can solve every problem.
But because understanding often removes fear.

When we understand why something is happening, we feel more in control.
We worry less.
We make better decisions.
We move forward with greater confidence.
One of the biggest lessons I have learned through life is that understanding changes everything.
Whether it is understanding our health, our emotions, our relationships or ourselves, clarity often brings a sense of peace that uncertainty never can.
If you are a man over 50, I hope this book provides reassurance, perspective and practical guidance.
If you know a man over 50, perhaps a husband, father, brother, friend or colleague, it may be a book worth sharing with him.
Because chances are he is asking some of these questions too.
And he may not realise that he is far from alone.
